The Men’s Air Jordan Retro 12 is the re-release of Michael Jordan’s 12th signature shoe. Originally released in 1997, the Air Jordan 12 is one of the most beloved models in the entire line, and always a welcome sight for collectors when it makes a comeback. With a clean and luxurious look and great on-court performance, the Jordan 12 was designed by Tinker Hatfield, the mind behind many of the most iconic Air Jordan and Nike sneakers since the late 1980s. The design was partly inspired by the Japanese “rising sun” motif, which is loosely interpreted across the upper with the large toe panel that sweeps from the front of the shoe to the midfoot and the stitched lines across the rest of the upper. Other details traditional to the Air Jordan 12 are the pebbled basketball texture on the toe panels, the plastic “Jumpman” tab at the midfoot, two metal lace eyelets at the top of the shoe, and a branded heel tab with the statement: “Quality Inspired By The Greatest Player Ever.” Another Air Jordan design that perfectly blends style and performance technology, the Jordan 12 features full-length double-stacked Zoom Air cushioning in the sole as well as a large carbon fiber plate in the midfoot for support. The shoes are dressed in varsity red and black featuring a red suede upper paired with black finish.
